A nonsmooth generalized?alpha method for mechanical systems with frictional contact

چکیده

In this article, the existing nonsmooth generalized- ? method for simulation of mechanical systems with frictionless contacts, modeled as unilateral constraints, is extended to frictional contacts. On that account, we complement constraints set-valued Coulomb-type friction laws. Moreover, devise a set benchmark systems, which can be used validate numerical schemes Finally, benchmarks numerically assert properties striven during derivation presented scheme. Specifically, show scheme reproduce dynamics contact adequately and no penetration contacting bodies arises—a big issue most popular time-stepping such one Moreau. demonstrate performs well multibody containing flexible parts it allows general parametrizations use unit quaternions rotation rigid bodies.
